Ademola Lookman looks to be slowing down in the race for the top scorer in the Italian Serie A this season as his Atalanta fell to a 2-1 home defeat to Lecce, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Lookman who earlier in the year had challenged Victor Osimhen for the top scorer prize in the league during an interview have now gone four games without a goal since then.
Not the kind of afternoon the Nigerian would have envisaged as Atalanta were stunned by a bottom half Lecce, a result which blew some dirt in their quest for Champions League qualification.
With Lookman last goal coming in the league against Sampdoria on January 28, Atalanta have gone on to win only one of their last four matches and with AC Milan next in line for them next Sunday, their champions league dream might start fading away should they fail too pick the maximum points at the San Siro.
