According to reports that emerged from Italy earlier, Simone Inzaghi is keen on keeping Marcelo Brozovic in the Nerazzurri colours.
Now, Calciomercato reports that both the club and the player are ‘proceeding with confidence’ in terms of a new contract deal. He demands a wage sum in the region of €6m as opposed to his current €3.5m deal.
His contract with the Italian club expires at the end of the current season and he is reportedly an integral part of Inzaghi’s plans for 2021/22.

Brozovic has also been linked with a move to England, with Liverpool most interested.
