As reported by Italian sports broadcaster Sky Sport, Genoa hopes to have a fire-sale in what remains of this transfer window.
In fact, three players, namely striker Mattia Destro, midfielder Ivan Radovanovic and defender Paolo Ghiglione have all been put on the transfer list by the grifone management, who hopes to lighten the roster after the recent acquisitions. Skipper Davide Ballardini has decided to not call those three for Genoa's upcoming Serie A opening fixture against current champions Inter.
Of those, Mattia Destro is probably the player who will garner the most interest. In two seasons at the club, he has appeared in 37 Serie A matches, scoring 11 goals. Radovanovic is also a veteran profile who could strengthen a midfield, especially in Serie B. Finally Ghiglione is the youngest, and certainly has the most upside. At Genoa since 2019, he has made a total of 48 appearances in Serie A, after experiences in Serie C and Serie B with SPAL and Frosinone.
