According to information gathered by Tuttomercatoweb, Genoa took an important step towards acquiring Gianluca Frabotta from Juventus.
Frabotta, who was rumored as a possible exchange piece in the Locatelli deal with Sassuolo, now seems to be closer to Genoa, as the rossoblu now look like front runners for the player, ahead of Atalanta, who was also interested. The 22-year old made his Serie A debut this past season with Juventus, appearing in 16 games for Andrea Pirlo, who took a liking to him and was not afraid to put him in the starting eleven despite the young age and lack of experience. He showed flashes of good play, and this attracted interest from other clubs, where he might be able to grow and be guaranteed a starting spot, like Atalanta and Genoa.
We'll see if Frabotta will indeed leave Juventus after just one season or if he will continue to be a part of the bianconeri squad.
