Leaving Parma after three seasons in, 26-year old Italian midfielder Alberto Grassi, purchased by Ducali less than a year ago, from Napoli, on a nearly 8.5 million euros transfer fee, is set to join Cagliari, and keep playing on a top-tier level. Previously playing for SPAL as well, Atalanta alumni has already passed medical examinations for Isolani, and is soon to be announced by the club as a new signing.
A former youth international, Grassi represented Italy all the way through from Under-17 level to Under-21 one. On a career course riddled with injuries, across his path as a pro club player, he capped 107 times in official games, scoring six goals therein.
