Jose Mourinho’s Roma are readying a move for Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek, just days after the Portuguese raided his former side for Tammy Abraham. The Englishman is seen as surplus to requirements at the club following a rather unproductive loan stint at relegated Fulham last season.
After featuring in multiple pre-season matches, the ex-England international has been left out of Thomas Tuchel’s first two Premier League match day roster and has reportedly been told he can quit the club for good this summer.
The Italian club convinced Abraham to move to the Giallorossi following telephone and in-person conversations, and are hoping to do the same with Ruben, according to Corriere De Sport.
The Special One gave the midfielder his debut at the club and knows him well after spending three campaigns together. It would allegedly take around £13.5 million to seal the deal.
