Chelsea could allegedly move for Napoli centre-half Kalidou Koulibaly during the January transfer window. The Blues were strongly linked with Sevilla’s France international Jules Kounde over the summer’s transfer window but were unable to seal a deal for the central defender before the window slammed shut.
The Premier League giants could enter the January transfer market for a new player at the back, and according to a recent report from footballlondon, Kalidou may be a potential option for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
The 30-year-old was mentioned with a move away from the Serie A giants over the summer, but the transfer market closed with the Senegalese still in Italy.
Kalidou’s future remains the subject of much talk, though, as his existing deal will be no longer valid in July 2023, and Napoli are said to be open to a sale.
The former Metz ace has made two appearances for Chelsea this season, while the player has represented the Partenopei on 285 occasions since arriving from the Jupiler Pro League side Genk seven years ago.
