Senegal hold a 1-0 advantage over Ethiopia at the interval in their second 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Tuesday, with Ibrahim Mbaye giving the Lions an early lead.
The young Senegal international broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, converting an opportunity created by Nicolas Jackson. Ethiopia responded with several attacking openings but could not find a way past Senegal’s defence.
Pape Gueye was shown a yellow card in the 19th minute. After four minutes of added time, Senegal went into the break still ahead.
