Senegal hero Mousa Sow wants respect for Giresse over substitute role decision in Ghana's win
Mousa Sow got the match winner

Senegal hero Mousa Sow admits he was disappointed to have started from the bench but left thrilled with the decision of coach Alain Giresse in the wake of their 2-1 win over Ghana.

The Fenerbahçe striker was surprisingly left out of the starting eleven against Ghana in Mongomo but came on in the second half to steal the show.

Sow grabbed the match-winner in stoppage-time with a low grounder to break their jinx against the Black Stars at the Cup of Nations tournament.

He disappointed with his substitute role but says the coach must be respected for the decision.

"I was disappointed to not be in the starting line-up, which is normal because I am a competitor. I want to play and to win, he said

The coach's decisions need to be respected but it's true that it was me who came on and scored, so there you go.”
