Self-confidence: Okoye reveals secrets behind impressive Udinese form

Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has attributed his impressive displays for Udinese last season to self-confidence and the expertise of the club's goalkeeping coach, Sergio Macron, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Okoye, who initially played backup to Marco Silvestri, eventually established himself as Udinese's first-choice goalkeeper and played a crucial role in the team's survival on the final day of the season.

The 24-year-old told Tribal Football, "As soon as I step on the pitch, I am always confident. But, of course, there are good and bad days. The art is to have as many good days as possible and fewer mistakes."

Okoye praised Macron's attention to detail, saying, "My skill set after one year working under him is already much wider. He goes into every little detail of my goalkeeping and ensures improvement every day."

Okoye's impressive form has been a notable aspect of Udinese's success, and his partnership with Macron appears to be a key factor in his growth as a goalkeeper.
