Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has wished ‘little brother’ Stephan El Shaarawy well following his move to French side Monaco.
The 22-year-old has signed a one-year loan deal from AC Milan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The Italian passed a medical with the French club on Monday with Monaco expected to pay Milan a €16 million fee.
And Boateng, who played alongside Shaarawy has hailed his move to the French side.
"Good luck little brother @OfficialEl92...New mission for you at Monaco!!! ???? he tweeted.
According to reports, the option will become mandatory after the striker plays a certain number of games for his new club, with El Shaarawy agreeing to a five-year deal worth €3m per season.
Boateng is on a lookout for a new club after he was frozen out at German outfit Schalke.
