While having already parted ways with Roberto De Zerbi, who's about to be named new Shakhtar Donetsk manager, Sassuolo top brass, already screening a bunch of trainers for one to take over (including Spezia boss Vincenzo Italiano, Hellas Verona one Ivan Juric, Parma one Roberto D'Aversa, and Empoli one Alessio Dionisi), have targeted one more, namely 53-year old Italian-Swiss trainer Marco Giampaolo (in the pic on the left).
Last training Torino, Giampaolo, also known as a "Game of Thrones" Stannis Baratheon's "kinda lookalike", used to work for a round number of clubs, including AC Milan, Sampdoria, Brescia, Empoli, Cagliari, and Siena. Idle since last January, Giampaolo would very well welcome an offer coming from Neroverdi, for him to kickstart his professional course.
