Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi has told the club’s fans not to be alarmed by the team’s unimpressive performances in the Ghana Premier League this season.

The Porcupine Warriors have sunk low this term having managed only two wins from eight games so far.

The defending League champions could only manage a goalless draw against WAFA on Sunday to heighten anxiety among their teeming fans.

They are now 12 points adrift of leaders Ashantigold and lie just above the relegation zone.

The club’s former great Sarfo Gyamfi has urged the distressed supporters not to press the panic button.

“It’s very disheartening but we should not jump to conclusions just yet,” he said

“I have been concerned about our performance this season but I attribute it largely to an issue of discipline.

“Things are not going according to plan but we must not throw our hands in despair.

“Our performance against WAFA was an improved one and we must build on it. No need to panic at this crucial moment.”

The champions are in the home of Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday desperately in search of a win to lift the side.
