Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles will play two friendlies against African champions Senegal as part of their preparations for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against Ghana.
The matches will take place on October 3 and 5 at the Murtala Muhammed Square Beach Soccer Arena in Kaduna, giving Nigeria valuable competitive preparation before their decisive two-legged contest against Ghana’s Black Sharks.
Nigeria will host Ghana in the first leg in Kaduna on Saturday, October 10. The Sand Eagles will then travel to Accra for the return match on Saturday, October 17.
The team that wins the tie on aggregate will qualify for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted by Senegal.
The Senegal fixtures will provide Nigeria with an opportunity to test their squad against the reigning African champions before facing their West African neighbours in the qualifiers.
Twenty players are currently in camp in Kaduna as preparations continue for the crucial tie.
The Sand Eagles are seeking a place at the continental tournament, with the outcome of the two matches against Ghana determining which side progresses to the finals in Senegal.
