Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze's impressive goal in the Europa Conference League has been recognized for nomination, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The goal was scored in the match day one fixture of the ECL against Lech Poznan where Villarreal won by four goals to three.
Chukwueze's beautiful goal had brought the tie to equilibrium after his side where a goal down.
The Nigeria international met a deep, high cross from the left flank with a first-time volley that flew wickedly past goalkeeper Bednarek.
He is nominated alongside Nigerian Yusuf Otubanjo and eight other players.
Otubanjo’s strike in Pyunik’s 2-0 win against Zalgiris also made the shortlist.
Both goals had been nominated for Goal of the Week in the course of the competition but failed to pick the prize.
