Ghana U20 have been dealt a huge blow after Salifu Alimeyaw limped off with a suspected hamstring injury during a Primavera match for Hellas Verona .
The defensive midfielder will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury but preliminary assessment suggests he could be out for a month.
Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh could have relied on the services of the youngster, who was last season officially acknowledged as the best Under-20 player in Hellas Verona, ahead of the African Youth Championship.
The teenager, sold by Bechem United in 2013, is already in the Verona first team awaiting his debut Serie A appearance.
