Former France international Jerome Rothen described Yan Diomande’s display for Real Madrid against Villarreal as “an exemplary performance”.
The 19-year-old winger scored the only goal of the match, finding the net in the 63rd minute to secure victory for Real Madrid.
It was Diomande’s first goal for the club since joining from RB Leipzig last summer.
Real Madrid paid €140m for the Ivorian, including bonuses, and Rothen highlighted his contribution in the match against Villarreal.
