Hat-trick hero Cristiano Ronaldo thought it had been a "magical night" as Juventus hit back to knock Atletico Madrid out of the Champions League.
The Serie A side appeared to be heading out of the competition when they lost last month's round of 16 first leg clash in the Spanish capital 2-0, but former Real Madrid and Manchester United star Ronaldo scored with two headers and a penalty as Juve completed a remarkable comeback.
"It was always going to be a special night and it was, not only for the goals, but for the team," a delighted Ronaldo said afterwards. "This is the mentality of champions, this is the journey to follow. We enjoyed a magical night.
"Atletico were a difficult team, but we were strong too."
Ronaldo's fellow Portugal international Joao Cancelo, added: "Ronaldo? He's fantastic. This victory was important for the team. In the week, we worked well and we deserved this success."
Massimiliano Allegri's side are currently 18 points clear at the top of the Serie A table and 4/7 to beat Genoa in their next match on Sunday. Meanwhile, Juve are 4/1 to win the Champions League this season.
Meanwhile, a phlegmatic Atletico boss Diego Simone admitted: "They were better than us. We didn't have many chances apart from (Alvaro) Morata's header. Juventus played very well, we have to congratulate them."
Atletico Madrid are 6/5 to beat Athletic Bilbao in their next La Liga match this weekend.
