According to Diario de Valladolid, Ronaldo Nazário, owner of Real Valladolid, is considering appointing José María Gutiérrez, widely known as Guti, as the new head coach for the struggling Pucelanos. Guti, a former Real Madrid midfielder and Ronaldo's ex-teammate, is highly regarded in Spanish football and is one of the Brazilian legend’s top choices to steer Valladolid out of their current crisis.
The club has been in poor form this season, and with relegation looming, the search for a capable manager to revitalise the team is a top priority. Guti’s experience on the pitch and his connection with Ronaldo make him an appealing candidate.
However, he is not the only name on the shortlist. Another former Real Madrid player, Gabriel Heinze, is also being considered. The Argentine, who has managerial experience in his home country, is reportedly an equally strong contender to replace Paulo Pezzolano, who was recently dismissed. Heinze's defensive mindset and coaching pedigree could make him a solid alternative.
With Valladolid desperate for results and a turnaround in fortunes, Ronaldo is expected to make a decision imminently. Both Guti and Heinze remain the frontrunners to take over and lead the club back to stability.
