Roma produced another emphatic result in the 2026-27 Italian Championship, defeating Lecce 4-0 away from home as Donyell Malen scored twice.
The victory gives Roma six points from their opening two matches. They have scored eight goals without conceding, underlining their perfect defensive and attacking record at the start of the campaign. Lecce remain on three points.
Roma took control almost immediately at Stadio Via del Mare, moving ahead after only four minutes. Malen was the player who made the breakthrough, continuing the fine form he showed in the previous match against Fiorentina, when he scored a hat-trick.
The forward struck again during a dominant first-half display, adding a second goal to his tally and putting Roma firmly in command. Malen’s latest contribution means he has continued to make a decisive impact in each of Roma’s opening fixtures.
Matias Soule extended the visitors’ advantage in the 25th minute. His goal gave Lecce an even greater challenge and ensured Roma went into the remainder of the match with a three-goal cushion.
Lecce were unable to find a response after the interval, while Roma continued to control the contest. Rodrigo Mora completed the scoring in the 65th minute, with Gianluca Mancini providing the assist.
The final goal confirmed a 4-0 win for the visitors and completed another convincing performance from Roma. Across the first two rounds, the club have combined a potent attack with a defence that has yet to be breached.
For Lecce, the result leaves them with three points after two matches. Roma, meanwhile, have made an ideal start, collecting maximum points and recording successive victories without conceding.
