Barely two days after ex-Liverpool midfielder, Danny Murphy, advised Kelechi Iheanacho to leave Leicester city, the Nigeria international responded with a goal that secured The Foxes a ticket to the another round of the English FA Cup.

Iheanacho’s goal in the 56th minute made the difference in a tight Emirates FA Cup contest at the Priestfield Stadium against Gillingham.

The Super Eagles striker is gradually becoming a chieftain in the FA after recording his 16th goal in his 22nd appearance on Saturday evening.

Leicester coach, Brendan Rogers after the game was full of praise for the striker calling him “amazing.”

“He’s a really good option for us whether he begins on the bench or he starts.

“Sometimes, Kel comes into the game and is amazing and then, he’ll do something in the same game which is not so good,” Rodgers was quoted by the Leicester Mercury.

“But what I always get from him is 100 percent commitment. I’m always pretty sure whether he starts or comes off the bench, he always gives his very best,” he added.
