Nigerian Premier Football League side, Rivers United has bid farewell to defender Ekerette Udom, who has joined Spanish outfit Villarreal B, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Udom, who signed with Rivers United at the start of the 2023-24 season from Sunshine Stars, expressed his gratitude in an emotional farewell message.
In a heartfelt post on X, Udom thanked the management, coaches, staff, teammates, and supporters of Rivers United, stating that the memories will "live forever." He also wished the team luck in the upcoming season and future endeavors.
Udom, who previously played for Dakadda FC, will now embark on a new chapter in Spain with Villarreal B.
Despite his departure, Udom affirmed his loyalty to Rivers United, declaring, "A pride of RIVERS I remain."
