Rivers United head coach, Finidi George has expressed confidence that his team will have an improved campaign this season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports
The Pride of Rivers were held to a 1-1 draw by Remo Stars in their opening fixture last weekend.
Finidi insisted that Rivers United is not afraid of any team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), building on their second-place finish last term.
The team will face Kwara United in their matchday two fixture in Port Harcourt this weekend.
"It’s good that the fixture is coming strong with tough teams because if there are mistakes, we will know how to correct them,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media via Dailypost.
“We are not scared of any team this season. We will play our best football this season, hopefully, we will get the result we deserve.”
