Hearts of Oak will play sworn rivals Asante Kotoko on Wednesday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2015 President’s Cup.
The annual ceremonial matcHh to honour the sitting president is usually organised on Republic Day by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).
Each club is reported to have pocketed GH¢30,000 as appearance fee.
It took a break last year because of Ghana’s participation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.
The match will afford Kotoko a fine opportunity to avenge their 0-1 first round Ghana Premier League defeat to the Phobians in Kumasi.
President John Dramani Mahama is expected to be the special guest of honour.
