Nigeria Premier Football Leaguez NPFL side, Remo Stars' CEO, Adedoyin Ogungbefun has revealed the club plan to have a female team in no distant plan.
Ogungbefun made the revelation at the 2023 edition of the She Football conference in Lagos, a programme designed to harness female talents in football.
He disclosed that the club had "partnered this conference to get players from the grassroots to give them time and develop.”.
The plan to establish a female team will likely be in the year 2024.
“Yes, there is plan for us to have a female team because we have plans for it already, female clubs are not like male clubs, it is not an open-end thing, we can’t just say we want to do open scouting because of the peculiarity of their nature, we are working on the club and the grace of God next year we should have a female club.
