Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has praised Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq for rediscovering his form since joining Valencia on loan in January, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Sadiq, who struggled for minutes during the first half of the season at Real Sociedad, has flourished under Carlos Corberán at Valencia, netting six goals in 16 LaLiga appearances. His impressive run also earned him the LaLiga Goal of the Month award for March.
Speaking to Radio Marca, Aperribay expressed delight at the 28-year-old's performances and confirmed that a decision on his long-term future will be made after the season.
“Valencia has a purchase option on Sadiq. I’m very happy with the level he’s showing. We have to wait for the deadlines,” said the Real Sociedad president.
Sadiq’s resurgence has sparked speculation about a potential permanent switch to the Mestalla Stadium this summer.
