Real Madrid interest grows as Michael Olise contract talks with Bayern Munich stall

Published on: 08 October 2026

Michael Olise’s future at Bayern Munich has become a key topic in the transfer market, with Real Madrid reportedly monitoring the situation as negotiations over a new contract fail to progress as the German club would like.

Bayern Munich want to extend the France international’s current deal, but the talks have not developed according to the club’s expectations. Real Madrid have been linked with Olise for some time and could now become more seriously involved in the situation.

The report was published by Gazeta.Ru, citing El Nacional.

Bayern Munich are concerned about Real Madrid entering the race for the 24-year-old, although they remain in a strong contractual position. Olise’s existing agreement runs until the middle of 2029 and does not include a release clause.

That means Bayern Munich are under no immediate pressure to sell, while Olise also has no need to rush into a decision over his future. His representatives want to assess all available options before the player decides whether to sign an extension with Bayern Munich.

For now, Olise is keeping every possibility open.

Transfermarkt, the respected football valuation website, estimates the value of Michael Olise at 180 million euros.
