Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio could miss the meeting with Barcelona after failing to improve while recovering from a tibia fracture, according to Marca.
The Spain international has been undergoing conservative treatment since January. However, his condition has not improved, leaving Asencio and the club likely to consider surgery in the near future.
If an operation is required, Asencio could be sidelined for between two and three months. That would rule him out of Real Madrid’s match against Barcelona at Camp Nou on 25 October.
Asencio has not played a single minute for Real Madrid this season.
