"?Reading have officially completed the signing of English-born Portuguese centre-back Tiago Ilori from Liverpool in a permanent deal believed to be worth around £2m.
Ilori has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract with the Championship side that will keep him at the Madejski Stadium until the end of the 2019/20 season.
The 23-year-old, who arrived at Liverpool 12 months into the Brendan Rodgers era, played just three times during his Anfield career and never in the Premier League. He was also loaned out to Aston Villa, where he didn't play even once, Granada and Bordeaux.
That being said, he is still highly thought of and it is hoped that his move to Reading will help the player rediscover the form that once made him so talked about.
"Tiago is the type of defender a lot of people like - his technical skill, passing ability, pace, quality and physique. We always want players with those attributes within our squad," Royals boss Jaap Stam told the club's official website.
"In this league, with all the games we need to play, you never know what's going to happen with injuries and suspensions "? so it's also important we have options and the chance to rotate.
"And looking to the future, you need to seize the opportunity when players like Tiago are available, so we're very happy that he will be joining us at Reading."
A Liverpool statement read, "Everybody at the club wishes Tiago the best of luck in his future career."
