Ravel Morrison Scores Beautiful Panenka Penalty in Lazio Outing

Published on: 26 July 2016

Former Manchester United starlet Ravel Morrison has shown the Twittersphere exactly why he was formerly known as the next big thing under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The midfielder uploaded a video of himself scoring a delicious panenka penalty in a recent Lazio friendly, showing that despite not being cut out for United as a youngster, his talent has never wavered; nor has his confidence.

Morrison, 23, began his career at Old Trafford before moving to West Ham on a three-year-deal. However, he failed to live up to his full potential at Upton Park and after several loan deals was eventually sold to Lazio last year.

It was his attitude that let him down back in 2012, and he has failed to light up the Stadio Olimpico since signing in 2015. But the audacity of the penalty, during a friendly or not, shows signs that he is still the talented player he used to be.
