Rangers International recorded a vital point away from home against reigning champions Enyimba International after a late goal from Kazeem Ogunleye secured a one-all draw in Aba, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flying Antelopes were heading for their 6th defeat of the Nigeria Premier Football League season until Ogunleye's goal from minutes from regulation secured the point at the Enyimba International Stadium on Wednesday.

Enyimba's Chijioke Mbaoma after missing a chance got on the score sheet 12 minutes into the game to keep the score line at 1-0.

It could have been doubled but Daniel Daga's cross which met Joseph Atule and tapped from five yards went into the keeper's hands in the 29th minute.

Murphy Ndukwu almost scored too 8 minutes later, but Delta Ogundare was on hand to make the save.

Nweke Kalu came close to restoring parity for the visitors, but Ojo Olorunleke saved the ball to keep score 1-0 at the end of half time.

Rangers International looked the better side in the second phase of the game as Chidiebere Nwobodo came close to score 4 minutes into the half, but Olorunleke ensured the score stayed the same.

Agu Kenechukwu was the next to attempt a goal as his shot was easily saved by Olorunleke in the 61 minute.

George Owen came to double the lead for Enyimba, but it was not to be.

Rangers International continued to push for the equaliser as Ogunleye's free-kick was saved by Enyimba's goalie in the 85th minute.

However, Ogunleye could not be stopped a couple of minutes later as the Enugu State side got levelled matters.

The Flying Antelopes almost got what seemed the winner as Odoh Joel at goal, but Olorunleke made a brave save to help the host to a point.
