Super Eagles B Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has stated his desire to lead the team to victory over Ghana in their 8th African Nations Championship qualifying match, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The team will go ahead to head with their fierce rival and fellow West African side in the first leg and Ogunmodede says leading Nigeria to victory will be a great honour for him.
"I approach such games with calm focus and strategic planning. Leading Nigeria to victory would be a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team.
The Remo Stars gaffer went ahead to state the importance of getting a victory against the Black Galaxies on Sunday.
"Qualification would be monumental. It offers a platform to showcase local talent, raise the profile of the domestic league, and inspire the next generation of footballers.
"I remind the players that this match reflects national pride. It’s not just about qualification—it’s about representing Nigeria with passion, integrity, and determination. Their performance carries the hopes and dreams of an entire nation."
The Ijah ball tactician believes his team has the edge over the Ghanaians due to its technical side.
"Our dynamic playing style, depth of talent, and adaptability give us an edge. The players’ determination and strong work ethic further boost our chances against Ghana.", he said.
The sides will meet on Sunday, December 22, at 5 pm Nigerian time at the Accra Sports Stadium.
