Puebla was without a shadow of a doubt one of the biggest surprises of this Clausura 2021 in LigaMX with the team reaching the tournament's semifinals; much of their success is undoubtedly due to their manager, Argentine Nicolas Larcamon. In a tweet on the club's official account, the organization announced that they are renewing the manager's contract with the team for another 18 months, or three more tournaments.

Before the Larcamon era, Puebla had failed to reach the semifinals of a tournament in twelve consecutive years.
