PSG ultras challenge restrictions on travelling to Marseille

Paris Saint-Germain’s ultras are challenging a ban preventing away supporters from attending Sunday’s French league match against Marseille.

The travel restriction was imposed by local authorities, who said there was a risk of clashes between supporters of the two clubs.

France’s Ministry of the Interior said the relationship between Marseille and PSG fans had remained tense for many years. It cited incidents from February 2018, when eight law enforcement officers were injured during a match.
