Former Nigeria international and current Kwara united FC goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba has stated that he wants the League Management Company of Nigeria to project players in the Nigerian top-flight more and to be deliberate about branding for league players which he feels will help stem the tide of Nigerian players rushing to Europe.

Aiyenugba speaking in a chat with brila.net said been deliberate about branding league players will help improve the all-round outlook of the league and players can equally focus more on becoming better and stronger in the home league before leaving for a clearly better and advanced league abroad as against jumping to obscure leagues abroad.

“The only thing I want the LMC to do more is to put the Players on the advert and all those things so people will see them.

“The children will know the players, more advert more endorsements so that players will not be rushing to go to Europe when they haven’t even made their name here. So let’s give a platform to players more, make your name here and it will be easy to go to Europe.”
