Jessie Lingard has apparently turned down an offer to extend Manchester United's contract. According to the 'Times', the 28-year-old offensive player is ready to let his contract, which is due to expire in 2022, expire if the England international is not shown prospects under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Lingard is the only professional next to Phil Jones who was not registered for the Champions League by the Red Devils.

In the current season, the right-footed player only played four minutes. After his successful second round loan at West Ham United (16 games, 14 scorer points), Lingard had expected significantly more playing time at his youth club. In the summer, the Red Devils rejected several requests from other English clubs on the grounds that Lingard was not for sale.
