As Sky Sports UK reports, Tottenham beat the competition (Atalanta in Italy, Chelsea, Man United and City in England) to sign Pape Sarr for around € 15 million from Metz.
He is a promising Senegalese midfielder born in 2002 and the announcement will be made after undergoing medical examinations, although this season the boy will remain on loan to the French club.
Sarr only joined Metz as a development player from Generation Foot less than a year ago, but his talent quickly shone through and he became a regular in the club's first-team, scoring four goals in 25 appearances. He has featured in all three of their Ligue 1 games so far this season, although none have ended in victory.
