In a new report by French outlet Homme du Match it now seems that Premier League clubs West Ham and Tottenham are set to battle over Sao Paulo's Igor Gomes.
Already likened to Brazilian legend Kaka for his style of play, Spurs have been linked with similar midfielders in recent times, namely Yacine Adli, Joao Pahlinha and Sander Berge. Gomes is just the latest midfielder with vision and the ability to drive at defenders with the ball at his feet, and West Ham has already made a 9M GBP bid, something that Tottenham is expected to beat easily.
We'll se where the young talented midfielder will end up, but if either club wants to make a move they will havbe to do it soon, as the market window is winding down.
