Manchester United playmaker Paul Pogba is reportedly holding out for a move to Real Madrid next summer. The 28-year-old has entered the final year of his deal at Old Trafford and has so far turned down the club’s attempts to tie him down to a new contract.

Pogba has started the campaign in fine form for the Red Devils, clocking up a Premier League-record five assists in their opening two games of the season.

However, Marca reports that the France international is still determined to play for the Los Blancos and is willing to wind down his deal if he is not allowed to depart from the club this summer. Should the Frenchman continue to reject offers of a new deal then the Red Devils will have to cash in on him either this summer or during the January transfer window if they do not want to lose him for free.

The French midfielder would be able to discuss terms over a free transfer from January, and he has reportedly told his agent Mino Raiola that the Los Blancos are his number one choice.
