Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp allegedly turned down the chance to bring in Borussia Monchengladbach star Florian Neuhaus earlier this summer.

Following midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum’s exit and subsequent move to Paris Saint-Germain, the Reds were expected to land a replacement for the Dutchman, and Florian was heavily linked with a move.

However, the Anfield outfit entered September with no fresh faces in their midfield, with Jurgen instead electing to hand opportunities to Harvey Elliott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

According to a recent report from The Mirror, Monchengladbach were interested in offloading Neuhaus this summer and offered the Reds the chance to snap up the 24-year-old, but Jurgen decided against making a move.

The report also states that the English giants would have been able to sign the player for a cut-price figure of £21 million, even with his current deal at Monchengladbach not due to expire until June 2024.
