Alex Telles arrived at Old Trafford a year ago with hope that he can full establish himself in the first team, however Luke Shaw’s form since then has meant there has been restricted room for Alex in the Manchester United team. During his first campaign with the club, the Brazilian featured in 24 matches, with most of those coming in cup competitions.

Earlier this summer there’d been reports about a potential exit, although those claims did not turn into anything concrete.

Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi has spoken to Inter News about potential signings for Inter Milan in the remaining weeks of the market, and he said:

“Telles could be another market opportunity, considering that Manchester United would give him on loan.”

Letting Alex go out on loan does not seem like the best way forward for the Red Devils. It’d mean giving up on the 28-year-old lull-back less than a year after landing him, and if the club have decided he is not the man they want then a permanent departure looks more beneficial.
