Romelu Lukaku has admitted he had to leave Manchester United to better himself as a player. It come as he returns to the Premier League two years after departing the Red Devils to sign up to their Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Exactly a decade after joining the Blues for the first time, the Belgium international is back at Stamford Bridge with a point to prove. It has been quite the journey for the 28-year-old, who managed just 10 Premier League appearances during his first stint in west London before signing for West Brom and Everton on loan.
And he has admitted he had to leave United to bolster his skills as a striker while he prepares to return to the Premier League as one of the best in the world.
He said: “The Premier League has a bit of everything and the experiences I had a few years ago were great."
