According to the Daily Star, Barcelona is set to pay Liverpool £17.1 million in add-ons for Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian offensive midfielder was a major role at Liverpool before joining Barcelona for a price that may climb to £121.5 million in 2018.

Coutino's transfer to Barcelona in 2018 may result in an extra £17.1 million in incentives and add-ons for Liverpool, as the Brazilian is close to achieving 100 games for the Catalan club. The attacking midfielder has made 90 appearances for the Spanish giants and is on his way to making his 100th, which will activate the aforementioned clause.

Coutinho scored seven goals and added six assists in just 18 league games in his first season with Barcelona. The Brazilian, on the other hand, struggled to make an impact at Camp Nou the following season, scoring only 11 goals in 54 appearances across all competitions. He was later loaned to Bayern Munich, where he had a mixed experience before returning to Camp Nou.
