From Liga Financial, Liverpool have reportedly turned down a bid from Basel for young forward Liam Millar, who is believed to depart Anfield ahead of the next season.

The 21-year-old attacker made his senior debut for the Merseyside Reds in an FA Cup match against Shrewsbury in early 2020 and gained more first-team minutes while on loan at League One outfits Charlton Athletic last campaign.

Millar played 27 games for the League One outfit during the 2020-21 season and managed to found back of the net three goals and six assists as the side just missed out on a playoff spot to Oxford United on goal difference.

According to Goal, the Premier League heavyweights turned down a bid from Basel, however, they are believed to return to the table this week with a revised offer.

The Merseyside Reds are believed to be demanding a fee in excess of £1m for the 21-year-old forward, who has also attracted interest from Blackpool, Odense and New York RB.
