Long-term Liverpool target Houssem Aouar has allegedly been placed on the transfer list by his club Lyon following a humbling defeat last weekend. The Ligue 1 outfit have picked up just one point from the opening two fixtures after a 3-0 defeat to Angers and it is believed senior member Juninho hopes to address an ‘attitude problem’ at Groupama Stadium.
He has been linked with a potential switch to the Reds on numerous occasions down the seasons and could now be edging towards a summer exit.
According to a recent report from RMC Sport, as quoted by GFFN on Twitter, the 23-year-old midfielder is among numerous stars now made available.
The report says that all several players could be sold for a ‘lower price’ than they might have previously commanded – perhaps less than the £25 million Les Gones wanted for Aouar.
Capped on one occasion by his country, last season the midfielder netted seven times and added three assists in 30 top-flight outings.
Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp is in need of additional central midfield variants following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum to Paris Saint-Germain.
