In an explosive report by English outlet Mirror, it now looks like Chelsea are considering an unprecedented move to try to bring Lionel Messi to Stamford Bridge.

In fact, club owner and Russian magnate Roman Abramovich seems to have called an emergency meeting to discuss the possibility of bringing Messi to Chelsea. The Argentinian sudden exit from Barca has the football world buzzing, and Abramovich is ready to try to land Messi once again, after he was reportedly very close to doing so in 2014 for a whopping 250M GBP, until talks ultimately broke down as Barcelona were able to convince him to stay.

Now, faced with the prospect of seeing him go to PSG or even worse to rival Manchester City, Abramovich is trying to swoop in and bet the competition, as the Russian is ready to make a considerable financial effort to bring Lio to Chelsea. It is unclear whether a move for the number 10 would preclude Lukaku's arrival, rumored to be imminent.
