Plateau Utd have been charged for breaching NPFL framework and rules in the course of their matchday 15 fixture at Kwara Utd on Thursday, December 21.
Players & officials of Plateau Utd harassed the match officials after the game in Ilorin, an act of misconduct capable of bringing the game to disrepute.
Plateau Utd failed to ensure proper conduct of their players & officials, resulting in the harassment & intimidation of the referee after the match, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
A fine of N1 million has been imposed on Plateau Utd for misconduct & failure go ensure proper conduct of their players & officials.
Plateau Utd's Jimmy Ambrose & Charles Henlong have been suspended for the next three (3) match-weeks and also the club's team manager Iliya Abel who is also suspended for the next three matches for his incitement and unsporting conduct.
Plateau Utd have been warned of facing stiffer sanctions if there is a similar recurrence of such conduct.
Plateau Utd have 48 hours from the date of notice to appeal these sanctions.
