Plateau United depart Nigeria for Tunisia by Thursday

Ahead of their CAF Champions League second leg second preliminary round fixture against Esperance of Tunisia, Plateau United have left the shores of Nigeria.

 

According to a press release by the team's media officer, Albet Dakup a thirty-eight man contingent of Players, Coaches and other backroom staff was to leave the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja via a Turkish Airline to Tunisia by 12am.

 

As at the time of filing this report, the club's official Twitter handle had reported that players, members of the coaching crew were about to leave for Turkey.

 

"The lads are at the departure lounge of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja as they get set to fly out to Tunisia via Istanbul tonight."

 

The Peace Boys got a 2-1 narrow win in the first leg at the MKO Abiola Stadium on Sunday.

 

The second leg against Esperance will hold at the Olympic Stadium in Rades on Saturday.
