AC Milan's manager, Stefano Pioli has lauded the remarkable turnaround in Samuel Chukwueze's performance, highlighting the Nigerian winger's newfound confidence after initially struggling to settle at the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Chukwueze, who joined AC Milan from LaLiga's Villarreal last summer, encountered difficulties adapting to his new surroundings.
However, his recent exceptional form, notably showcased in the 3-0 victory over Leece, has garnered praise.
In the match, Chukwueze contributed significantly with an assist and created five scoring opportunities during his full 90-minute appearance.
Pioli attributed the transformation to a shift in mindset, stating, "His (Chukwueze) mind has changed. Now he has confidence, he is positive, he believes in what he does."
Reflecting on Chukwueze's journey, Pioli remarked on the player's resilience, emphasizing his commitment to improvement despite facing challenges.
"I am very happy for him, he went through a difficult time. From the outside everything seems beautiful, roses and flowers, for kids who also earn a lot of money," Pioli expressed.
Chukwueze's perseverance and dedication have earned admiration from Pioli, the club, and the team, marking a significant chapter in his tenure at AC Milan.
