After time away for US Open Cup action the MLS returns to action with six games on the slate on Wednesday, including match for the top four in the Eastern Conference.
The Philadelphia Union have a four-point advantage atop the Eastern Conference over the Montreal Impact and DC United, with Atlanta United a further point back in the standings.
The Union are on the road when they take on the New England Revolution in Foxboro and will be hoping to get back to winning ways after falling to DC United in the US Open Cup.
Philadelphia are unbeaten in three games in MLS, having got the better of the New York Red Bulls and Minnesota United, while drawing with the Colorado Rapids.
The Union also have played one less game than Montreal.
Meanwhile, the Impact will be wary of a Portland Timbers side that is second bottom of the Western Conference, but has consecutive 4-0 triumphs over the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Houston Dynamo.
DC United's run in the US Open Cup came to an end with a loss at the hands of New York City and, like the Union, DC are undefeated in three games in MLS.
However, in United's case all three have been draws.
Atlanta are at BMO Field to face Toronto FC, which leaves two other games on Wednesday evening - FC Dallas matched up with the Vancouver Whitecaps and the San Jose Earthquakes welcoming in the original San Jose franchise, the Houston Dynamo.
Atlanta are 10/1 to win the MLS Cup, with Philadelphia 14/1.
